About the Casual Frontshop Assistant Position

The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the store always looks neat, organised, and fully stocked according to The Local Choice Pharmacy’s merchandising standards and company procedures.

You will be responsible for replenishing shelves, rotating stock, checking expiry dates, assisting customers, and supporting the daily operations of the store. Your work will help create a pleasant shopping environment while making sure products are displayed correctly and are always available for customers.

Main Responsibilities

As a Casual Frontshop Assistant, your daily duties may include:

• Restock shelves to ensure products are always available for customers.
• Unpack and store newly delivered stock in the correct locations.
• Rotate stock using the First In, First Out (FIFO) principle.
• Check expiry dates and remove expired products from shelves.
• Ensure product displays remain neat, attractive, and fully stocked.
• Keep the storeroom clean, organised, and tidy.
• Report damaged, expired, missing, or low stock to management.
• Assist with stock counts and regular stocktaking.
• Flatten empty boxes after unpacking stock and move them to the designated area for checking.
• Build and maintain merchandising displays according to company standards.
• Ensure shelves, labels, and prices are accurate at all times.
• Report price differences to management immediately.
• Stay informed about new products and promotions.
• Assist with loading and unloading stock when required.
• Clearly mark products that do not have barcodes.
• Help with back shopping and other stock-related tasks.
• Handle all merchandise carefully to prevent unnecessary losses.
• Provide friendly, professional, and helpful customer service.
• Follow up on customer enquiries about unavailable products.
• Help resolve customer stock-related questions quickly.
• Wear the correct company uniform and name badge during every shift.
• Assist with training new team members when required.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must have:
