As a Warehouse Stock Assistant, your daily responsibilities may include:

Ensure Bin Data Accuracy

• Verify that products are stored in the correct picking bins.
• Check that the correct quantities are placed in each bin.
• Monitor bin locations regularly to ensure warehouse standards are followed.
• Help maintain accurate inventory information.

Maintain Bin Labels

• Create clear and accurate labels for warehouse bins.
• Ensure labels remain visible and easy to read.
• Make sure barcodes can be scanned without problems.
• Update the Bin Master Sheet every day.
• Submit updated information to the Stock Controller for IQ system updates.

Monitor Compliance

• Identify stock that has been stored incorrectly.

• Notify the Bulk Controller about stock discrepancies.
• Assist with investigations involving warehouse camera reviews.
• Prepare and submit daily bin accuracy reports.

Perform Stock Counts

• Carry out daily stock counts.
• Compare stock count sheets for accuracy.
• Perform recounts when differences are found.
• Submit completed stock count reports to the Stock Controller for further investigation.

Follow Safety Procedures

• Follow all warehouse safety rules and company policies.
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe.
• Help maintain a safe working environment for all employees.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should meet the following requirements:

• Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent qualification.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office will be an advantage.
• Experience using warehouse systems will be beneficial.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• At least 1 to 2 years of experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control environment.
• Previous experience with receiving stock, picking, packing, and inventory counts will be an added advantage.
