What This Job Is All About

As a Flight Attendant at FlySafair, your role is to make sure every passenger has a safe and comfortable journey. You’ll be responsible for following safety procedures, assisting passengers, and keeping up a high level of customer service at all times.

You won’t just be serving snacks or helping with seatbelts — you’ll be trained to handle emergency situations, provide first aid, and be the calm voice passengers turn to when they need help. Your number one job is to protect lives while providing a friendly and positive flying experience.


What You’ll Be Doing Each Day

Here are just a few things you’ll handle in this exciting role:

  • Making sure all safety rules and procedures are followed on every flight
  • Giving safety demonstrations before take-off
  • Helping passengers with seating, luggage, or special needs
  • Staying alert to any in-flight issues or emergencies
  • Keeping a calm and professional attitude, even in stressful situations
  • Reporting incidents or irregularities to the Cabin Services Manager
  • Promoting a professional image of FlySafair at all times
  • Supporting other crew members as a team player

What You Need to Apply

Basic Qualifications:

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate or equivalent
  • Must currently hold a valid SACAA Cabin Crew License
  • Must have:
    • Valid Avmed DD50 Medical Certificate
    • Dangerous Goods Certificate
    • Ditching Certificate
    • Fire Fighting Certificate
  • Must speak English fluently (Level 4 proficiency)
  • Medically fit to work as a cabin crew member
  • Able to swim
  • Valid South African Driver’s License and own transport
  • Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays, including early mornings and late evenings
