Job Overview:
As a Fuel Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our trucks are refueled and ready for on-time deliveries. This position is essential in supporting our transportation operations and maintaining the smooth flow of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Refueling Trucks: Your primary responsibility will be refueling trucks at the Despatch area, ensuring they are ready for deliveries.
- Fuel Records Management: You’ll need to keep accurate records of all fuel used, helping to monitor consumption and manage inventory.
- Bowser and Pump Control: You will be responsible for managing the fuel bowser and pump, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Refilling Vehicle Fluids: Beyond just fuel, you’ll also top up vehicle oil and water levels as needed.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct regular visual inspections of vehicles and trucks, reporting any irregularities or defects you notice.
- Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around the bowser and pump area, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
- Daily Fuel Dips: Perform daily fuel dips to monitor fuel levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
Skills and Attributes We’re Looking For:
- Teamwork: You’ll be working closely with other team members, so being able to work well with others is crucial.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is important, especially when managing fuel records and inspecting vehicles.
- Numerical Ability: Basic math skills are required to manage fuel records and perform calculations.

Qualification Requirements:
- Matric/Grade 12: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
Experience Requirements:
- 1-2 Years of Experience: You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry.
Key Outputs and Work Conditions:
- 6-Day Work Week: You’ll be expected to work six days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
- Flexible Hours: You may need to work after hours and be on standby 24/7, depending on operational needs.
