What Apprenticeship Positions Are Available?

Goldi Chicken is looking for six new Artisan Apprentices in 2025. Here’s what’s available:

• 2x Millwright Apprentices
• 1x Electrician Apprentice
• 1x Mechanical Fitter Apprentice
• 1x Boilermaker Apprentice
• 1x Refrigeration Mechanic Apprentice

Each of these positions will give you practical experience, while you also complete formal training. You’ll be learning from professionals who have been in the industry for years.

What You’ll Do in This Apprenticeship

As an apprentice at Goldi Chicken, you will:

• Take part in a structured training plan.
• Attend and complete all required training and assessments.
• Work under the guidance of qualified artisans and technicians.
• Keep your training record book up to date and available.
• Follow all workplace rules, including safety and dress code.
• Take good care of any materials or tools given to you during training.
• Learn how to maintain, fix, and improve equipment in the plant.

You will also sign a formal learnership agreement with Goldi and AgriSETA. This means you are officially part of a program designed to teach you the skills needed to become a qualified artisan.

Who Can Apply?

To be considered for this apprenticeship, you need to meet these requirements:

• You must have completed Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science, or a Technical Matric.
• You must have an N3 National Technical Certificate or higher.
• You should be motivated, hardworking, and eager to learn.
• Teamwork and energy are very important, as you’ll be working closely with others.
• You must pay attention to details and be able to solve problems.
• You should be mentally sharp and ready to handle hands-on tasks.

If you are chosen, you will receive full apprenticeship training, the proper protective clothing (PPE), and an allowance while you learn. The training period is 36 months, and during this time, you will gain all the knowledge and skills needed to become a qualified artisan.
