Position Overview:
As a General Worker in the Packaging Department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our operations. You’ll be assisting with various tasks that ensure the smooth running of our production processes. Reporting directly to the Production Controller, you’ll be a vital part of our team’s success.

Key Responsibilities:
Your role will include a variety of important tasks to support our production goals:
- General Duties: Assist with cleaning floors, maintaining company assets, and performing other general tasks as required in the Warehouse Department.
- Operational Support: Follow instructions from competent authorities to ensure operational efficiency. Your flexibility to accommodate operational demands is crucial.
- Reporting and Improvement: Report any breakages or waste to the Controller and suggest improvements that could save the company time or money.
- Quality and Productivity: Assist in maintaining quality standards and contribute to maximizing team productivity.
- Team Participation: Engage in MDT/mini business activities and meetings to ensure optimal teamwork and performance.
- Stock Management: Assist with stock-taking when necessary.
- Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to company health and safety regulations.
- Loss and Waste Reduction: Participate in loss and waste reduction exercises, identifying and addressing areas where waste occurs.

What We’re Looking For:
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
Educational Background: Grade 12 (Matric) or relevant qualifications.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a General Worker, preferably in a warehouse or similar environment. Product knowledge in this field is a plus.
Physical Fitness: Must be physically healthy and strong, capable of performing strenuous duties as required.
Initiative: Ability to take spontaneous action without being prompted.
Pressure Handling: Capable of working under pressure and as part of a team.
Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts, including night shifts, overtime, and weekends when needed.
Professionalism: Demonstrate good corporate governance and align with Heineken’s values towards colleagues and supervisors.
Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with safe working procedures is essential.
