Role Overview

The General Worker Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and general upkeep of the Bloemfontein facility. This includes keeping the yard and workspaces tidy, assisting with building maintenance, and supporting housekeeping and gardening tasks. The role plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and a safe working environment for all staff.

Key Responsibilities

As a General Worker Cleaner at Triton Express, your daily duties will include:

• Maintaining the yard area to ensure it is neat, tidy, and safe.
• Performing general maintenance tasks including building repairs, painting, welding, flooring, lighting, and roller door maintenance.
• Assisting with housekeeping tasks to ensure offices, common areas, and facilities are clean and well-kept.
• Supporting gardening and outdoor maintenance to maintain a professional work environment.
• Ensuring all tools and equipment are used safely and stored correctly.
• Working independently when required and assisting other team members as needed.
• Reporting any issues or safety hazards to management promptly.

Requirements

Candidates applying for this role must meet the following requirements:

• Education: Minimum Grade 12 (Matric).
• Work Experience: Prior experience in general maintenance, cleaning, or related work is advantageous.
• Skills:
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
  • General knowledge of vehicles
  • Ability to communicate in English
  • Forklift license is preferable
• Personal Attributes:
  • Reliable, presentable, and professional at all times
  • High degree of integrity
  • Ability to work under pressure and unsupervised
  • Flexibility to work overtime when required
• Logistics: Must have own transport to and from work.
