🛍️ What’s the Job All About?

As a Shop Assistant or Cashier at Mambos, your goal is simple: make the customer experience amazing. You’ll be working alongside a friendly and supportive team to:

Keep shelves neat and fully stocked
Help customers find what they need
Run the till accurately and professionally
Keep the store looking clean, tidy, and welcoming

Every day is different, and you’ll always be learning something new!

✅ What You’ll Be Doing:

As part of the Mambos retail team, here are some of your main responsibilities:

Shop Assistant Duties:

Stock shelves neatly and ensure products are easily accessible
Follow store display plans (planograms) to create great-looking merchandise displays
Unpack and organize new inventory
Dispose of boxes and packaging properly
Keep storage and sales areas clean
Stick to all health and safety guidelines

Cashier Duties:

Operate a point of sale (POS) system / cash register quickly and accurately
Handle payments and transactions with care
Offer fast, friendly, and helpful customer service

Other Duties:

Communicate clearly with team members and management
Perform other tasks as needed to keep the store running smoothly

🎓 What You’ll Need to Apply:

Minimum Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric)
Prior retail experience is preferred, but not required
A positive, customer-first attitude
Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends
