Duties:

  • Arrange goods so they are stacked and stored safely and neatly.
  • Stock merchandise in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Appropriately value goods that are loose or of unpredictable weight.
  • Verify accurate pricing, such as labels.
  • Replace out-of-date merchandise, rotate inventory, and inspect quality.
  • Prevent waste, shrinkage, and damage.
  • Verify temperatures and, if necessary, preserve the cold chain.
  • Follow and uphold security protocols.
  • Use and maintain equipment in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Approach customers, provide product advice, listen to their needs, offer necessary goods or services, and treat them politely and professionally at all times.
  • Handle every customer order in accordance with the correct protocols and service requirements.
  • Encourage the sale of goods.
