Job Description
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for experienced Cleaners for their Loftus Park store. You’ll be keeping the store clean and tidy, meeting Dis-Chem’s high hygiene standards. This includes the shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen areas.
Minimum Requirements
Essential:
- Grade 12 / Matric certificate
- At least 6 months of cleaning experience
- Good command of the English language
- Basic customer service skills
- Knowledge of an additional local language
- Willingness to work retail hours
Advantageous:
- Ability to speak more than one language
- Previous experience cleaning in a retail store

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the store, including shop floor and communal areas, before the store opens.
- Develop routines to keep all store areas clean.
- Ensure the canteen and restrooms are always clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
- Be available during store hours to clean up as needed.
- Use the correct cleaning products and equipment for different tasks.
- Display wet floor signs visibly when cleaning floors.
- Be friendly, professional, and ready to assist customers.
- Follow Health and Safety Regulations while performing duties.
