Job Overview:

As a General Worker in our Research & Innovation department, based in Sasolburg, you will support various logistical tasks. This includes preparing equipment for loading and unloading products, performing general housekeeping, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety First:

Correctly identify and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Participate in emergency preparedness exercises.
Regularly inspect and maintain safety equipment.
Follow all safety and work standards.
Conduct safety observations and inspections.

Housekeeping Duties:

Clean plant areas, benches, floors, PPE, and glassware as directed.
Follow routine cleaning schedules.
Safely handle, stack, and store chemicals and dangerous materials.
Load and unload vehicles.
Maintain the general neatness of your work area.

General Tasks:

Assist senior personnel with specific tasks.
Deliver messages and parcels as needed.
Work overtime when required.
Safely use hand tools and equipment.
Handle process chemicals and glassware safely.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

Grade 12 or N3 with Maths and Science.
Code EC1 driver’s license.
Forklift driver’s license (advantageous).
