What Is This Welding Apprenticeship All About?

The Sasol Welding Apprenticeship Programme is a hands-on training opportunity. You’ll learn real skills in welding from experts in the industry while being part of a structured training environment. You will:

You must live in one of the following municipalities:

Govan Mbeki Municipality
Lekwa Municipality
Dipaleseng Municipality

✅ Education Requirements:

You must have passed:

Engineering Mathematics N3
Engineering Science N3
English (NCV Level 4) or First Additional Language (NCV Level 4)
Mathematics Level 4 (pure trade-related Mathematics, not Mathematical Literacy – this will be an advantage)
Engineering Science (L4), including:
- Engineering Processes L4
- Professional Engineering Practice L4
- Applied Engineering Technology L4
Welding/Platers Theory (this trade-related subject is a must)

You cannot apply if you are currently part of another training programme.
You must email your application. No manual hand-delivered CVs will be accepted by PDPS.

Your SARS confirmation letter showing your current address
A bank statement showing your current residential address
