Data Capturer Role Overview

As a Data Capturer at the Department of Social Development, you’ll be responsible for efficiently managing and processing important program data. This role is crucial in supporting our work around HIV/AIDS programs. Here’s what your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Entry: You’ll be responsible for accurately entering new applications and maintaining case records.
  2. File Management: Keeping digital and manual filing systems organized for easy access and retrieval of important documents.
  3. Reporting: You’ll assist in preparing weekly and monthly statistical reports that help monitor and evaluate programs.
  4. Client Interaction: Assist clients by verifying their data and answering any questions related to their documents.
  5. General Administrative Support: Help enhance the efficiency of the unit with other administrative tasks as needed.

What Do You Need to Apply?

Educational Background:

  • Grade 12 Certificate (or an equivalent qualification).

Experience:

  • Previous experience in data capturing or administrative tasks will be an advantage.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Computer Skills: You should be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Typing Speed: High accuracy in typing for data entry.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent at managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
