Your Role as a Receptionist at The Capital Hotels

As a Receptionist, you will be the face of the hotel, greeting guests and ensuring they feel welcome from the moment they step through the door. Your role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:

• Checking Guests In and Out: You’ll assist with the smooth check-in and check-out process, making sure that everything is handled professionally and efficiently.
• Managing Guest Accounts: You’ll maintain accurate guest accounts and handle all guest transactions during their stay.
• Handling Special Requests: Guests may have special needs or requests during their stay, and you’ll be the one to help address them promptly and professionally.
• Assisting with Reservations: You’ll help guests make bookings as required, ensuring that all their needs are taken care of.

In this role, you will be expected to work with a range of different guests and situations, so being adaptable and focused is important!

What We’re Looking for:

To be considered for the Receptionist position at The Capital Hotels, you’ll need the following:

1. Education: You should have completed Matric (high school). A Hospitality Qualification or something similar will give you an advantage.
2. Experience: You should have 1 to 2 years of experience working as a receptionist or in a similar role in hospitality.
3. Skills:
   • Strong Computer Literacy: You must be comfortable using MS Office and a reputable PMS (like Protel).
   • Problem-Solving: You should be calm under pressure and have a hands-on approach when it comes to solving problems or dealing with incidents.
   • Team Player: You should work well as part of a team and be able to work independently when required.
   • Attention to Detail: Being careful with tasks and making sure nothing is overlooked is key.
   • Trustworthiness: You must be honest, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information with care.
   • Shifts: This is a shift-based job, so flexibility is important.
   • Presentability: You’ll need to look professional and speak clearly and confidently.
