Your Role as a Shop Assistant

Purpose:
Your main goal is to maximize sales by delivering outstanding customer service and creating a “WOW” experience for every shopper. This involves being friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about helping customers find exactly what they need.

Key Skills You’ll Need:

  • Sales Driven: A passion for hitting sales targets.
  • Customer Service: Outstanding skills to ensure customers have the best shopping experience.
  • Motivated & Tenacious: A go-getter attitude with a focus on results.
  • Excellent Communication: Clear, persuasive communication is key.
  • Merchandising: A good eye for how products are displayed and organized.

What You’ll Be Doing

  1. Delivering AWWWESOME Service: Greet customers warmly and help them with their unique shopping needs.
  2. Sales Support: Guide customers through product choices, prices, and warranties.
  3. Product Knowledge: Demonstrate and explain products to help customers make informed decisions.
  4. Upselling: Encourage customers to purchase additional items or services.
  5. Merchandising: Ensure products are priced, displayed, and promoted according to company standards.
  6. Housekeeping: Keep the store clean and organized to create a pleasant shopping environment.
  7. Stock Management: Participate in stock counts and help minimize stock loss.
  8. Reporting: Share insights on what products are selling well with the Store Manager.
  9. Teamwork: Work closely with the team to meet store goals and provide top-notch service.

What We’re Looking For

Entry Requirements:

  • Education: A Matric Certificate is a must.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of experience in retail.
  • Transport: Reliable transport to accommodate shift work.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to company standards.
