Main Purpose:


The main goal of these positions is to ensure top-tier customer service and maximize sales through effective management of both people and processes. You’ll work closely with team members to create a seamless shopping experience for customers, maintain operational standards, and contribute to the store’s overall success.


Job Description: Your Key Responsibilities

In these roles, you will be responsible for:

Achieving Departmental Sales Targets: You’ll ensure that sales align with the store’s budget by making the most of the available selling space, displays, and strategic commercial plans.

Enhancing Customer Shopping Experience: You’ll deliver a consistent and exceptional shopping experience, ensuring the store meets its service levels and customers leave happy.

Managing Foods Standards & Operations: By following operational standards, you’ll control in-store shrinkage, waste, and stock accuracy. You’ll also manage timeous replenishment of stock to ensure shelves are always stocked with the right products.

Staffing & People Management: Leading by example, you’ll manage a team of employees, focusing on performance management, training and development, and employee relations to keep the team motivated and productive.

Handling Hot Foods Standards & Store Processes: Managing the hot foods section and ensuring all daily store processes are completed accurately and on time.

Conducting Weekly Risk Assessments: You’ll document and manage any potential risks to ensure the safety and efficiency of the store.

Minimum Requirements: Are You the Perfect Fit?

To be considered for these Woolworths vacancies, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Education:
    • Matric or equivalent NQF level.
    • A relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Experience:
    • Between 1-3 years of relevant managerial experience, preferably in retail or food services.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
    • Proficiency in technology and stock management.
    • A strong understanding of current foods and retail trends.
    • Ability to manage teams and deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment.
