Your Role:
As a Batcher, your main job will be to make sure that the Readymix Concrete is prepared exactly as needed. Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Daily Plant Checks: You’ll start your day by inspecting the plant and equipment to make sure everything is in good working order.
Batching Concrete: Your key task is to ensure that the concrete is batched according to the delivery schedule and product requirements.
Raw Materials Handling: You’ll make sure that the raw materials are received and handled properly to maintain quality.
Order Processing: You’ll help speed up orders by processing proof of deliveries (PODs) and making sure trucks have a quick turnaround time.
Contractor Monitoring: You’ll oversee the truck and mixer to ensure they meet required standards.
Safety First: You’ll help maintain safety by following and enforcing safety procedures, especially through the Asiphephe roll.
Quality Control: You’ll work according to strict quality and safety guidelines to ensure the best results.

What You Need to Bring:
Education: You must have at least a Grade 12 qualification.
Experience: You should have at least 1 year of experience in Readymix batching. If you have technical knowledge of concrete (C&CI Level 2), that’s a plus!
Technical Skills: You should be familiar with plant and batching equipment, and you should know how to maintain them.
Quality Focus: You must understand Readymix quality specifications and safety practices.
Computer Skills: Basic knowledge of AES, SAP PM, and Microsoft Office is required.
Customer Service: You should be good at interacting with customers, ensuring they get the best service.
Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience in using concrete in construction.
- Awareness of factors that could make vehicles unsafe on the road.
- Familiarity with HRBOS procedures related to Readymix concrete.
