Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have completed Grade 10 (or an equivalent qualification).
- Be a South African citizen.
- Be a resident of Ekurhuleni (you must specify your ward number when applying).
- Be currently unemployed.
- Not be participating in any other City of Ekurhuleni Job Creation programme.
- Be willing to learn and take instructions from supervisors.
What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, your daily tasks will include:
- Performing field work within your assigned area of responsibility.
- Conducting visits to homes, businesses, and sites to gather and record important data.
- Carrying out general tasks related to field work.
- Keeping your work environment clean and tidy.
- Using cleaning materials and equipment when necessary.
- Assisting with the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Capturing and compiling records of your activities before submitting them to your supervisor.
Important Things to Know Before Applying
- If you are currently taking part in another City of Ekurhuleni job creation project, you cannot apply for this position. You must first complete a six-month “cooling-off” period after your previous project ends.
- Candidates may be asked to submit proof of their NQF level for the qualifications they hold.
- If you do not hear from the City within six weeks after the closing date, please consider your application unsuccessful.
