What’s the Job All About?

As a Sales Assistant at GALXBOY, your main mission is to deliver world-class customer service and help drive the brand’s growth through powerful in-store experiences and strong sales. You’ll be the face of the brand, connecting with shoppers and helping them find their look while keeping the store sharp, clean, and stocked.

Who Can Apply?

  • Matric / Grade 12 (essential)
  • 1–2 years of retail experience (advantageous but not a must)
  • Basic computer skills
  • A clear understanding of customer service
  • Confidence, communication skills, and good presentation
  • A love for fashion and the GALXBOY brand

Your Key Responsibilities

Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll be doing in this role:


1. Customer Service Excellence

  • Greet every shopper with energy and respect.
  • Help customers find what they’re looking for and suggest items they may love.
  • Use upselling and cross-selling strategies to boost sales and store performance.
  • Stay presentable and professional at all times—dress the part, follow the grooming policy, and represent the GALXBOY brand on the floor.

2. Visual Merchandising (VM)

  • Understand product details, prices, materials, and care instructions.
  • Help with product tagging, pricing, steaming, hanging, folding, and restocking shelves.
  • Follow the brand’s visual merchandising guidelines to create an inspiring shopping space.

3. Stock Control & Inventory

  • Keep the stockroom neat and well-organized.
  • Ensure items are placed correctly to speed up sales and service.
  • Notify managers about sell-outs, low stock, and hot-selling items.

4. Daily Store Operations

  • Arrive on time and follow all clock-in/clock-out procedures.
  • Use the POS (Point of Sale) system to handle cash, card, and other payments accurately.
  • Keep the store clean, stylish, and safe for everyone.
