About the Role:

As a Hydropower Attendant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Hydropower department. You’ll be responsible for the efficient operation of equipment and ensuring that our systems run smoothly. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Key Responsibilities:

Support Operations: Provide vital assistance within the Hydropower department to ensure everything runs efficiently.
Pump Operation: Operate both V2 and V4 pumps effectively.
Equipment Management: Issue and receive Rock Drills, Thrust Legs, and Chainsaws to Rock Drill Operators or Miners, and make sure all exchanges are recorded.
Maintenance: Transport faulty equipment to the surface for repairs and ensure all Hydropower equipment is in good working order.
Safety Compliance: Follow all company Hydropower policies and procedures, and adhere to MHSA standards and Gold One’s safety motto: “Nothing is so important that it cannot be done safely.”

What You Need to Succeed:

Education: A minimum of Grade 11 or an equivalent qualification.

Language Skills: Proficiency in English and any other of the 11 official South African languages.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a mining or industrial environment is advantageous.

Flexibility: Ability to work shifts and adapt to changes in a dynamic environment.

Other Requirements: South African citizenship and a clear criminal record.
