What You’ll Do on the Job:

As an Artisan Assistant, your main job will be helping skilled artisans keep everything running smoothly. Here’s what your work will look like:

Helping with Mechanical Repairs and Maintenance:

• Support the artisans during mechanical repairs and check-ups.
• Do routine checks like changing oil, cleaning parts, and making sure machines are running properly.
• Use basic tools to assist with repairs.
• Check and replace car and machine parts like fan belts, oil filters, and wiper blades.
• Clean machines before and after they are fixed.
• Do small fixes on equipment and keep things in top condition.
• Keep the workshop clean, tidy, and safe.
• Help drive, test, and look after machines and company vehicles.
• Respond fast to emergency machine breakdowns.
• Be ready to do other mechanical tasks when needed.
• Always follow safety rules and South African National Standards (SANS).

Helping with Capital Projects:

• Assist with upgrading and replacing old mechanical parts.
• Support long-term projects that improve how machines work.
• Make sure all mechanical jobs are done properly and safely.
