As a Cook at SPAR, your daily tasks will include:

✅ Preparing food items according to restaurant recipes and standards.
✅ Cooking a variety of dishes using different methods like baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming.
✅ Checking cooking temperatures to ensure food safety.
✅ Seasoning and cooking food to perfection.
✅ Plating and garnishing meals to make them look appetizing.
✅ Testing food for doneness by tasting or checking textures.
✅ Cutting and preparing meats, vegetables, and ingredients before cooking.
✅ Keeping the kitchen clean by maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
✅ Managing stock rotation to ensure food freshness.
✅ Handling customer orders efficiently, even during busy hours.
✅ Supervising kitchen staff and helping them stay on track.
✅ Working under pressure to meet customer demands during rush hours.

🎓 Minimum Requirements – Who Can Apply?

To qualify for this role, you need:

✅ Matric (Grade 12)
✅ Experience as a Cook or Chef
✅ Live within 15km of the job location
✅ A clear criminal record
✅ Ability to handle high-pressure kitchen environments
