Why You Should Apply

In this role, you’ll be helping the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Specialist by gathering and organizing important data from healthcare facilities. If you’re looking to gain experience and grow your skills in the healthcare sector, this six-week contract could be just what you need.

What You Need to Qualify

Education: At a minimum, you need to have completed Grade 12. If you have a tertiary qualification, that’s a bonus!

Experience: We’re looking for someone who has at least two years of experience working with Department of Health (DoH) data and M&E systems. Familiarity with TIER.Net software is crucial. Experience in the public health sector, particularly with data collection, will give you an edge.

Skills: You should be skilled in using MS Office and comfortable communicating in English. Knowing isiXhosa will be an added advantage.

Clean Record: A clear criminal record is essential for this job.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Data Capturer, you’ll be a key part of the team, making sure all data is accurately recorded and organized. Your main tasks will include:

  1. Data Collection and Entry: You’ll be responsible for gathering weekly, monthly, and quarterly data from various clinics and entering it into the system.
  2. Database Management: Keeping the database updated with new data will be one of your primary responsibilities.
  3. Data Organization: You’ll format and structure the data so that it meets the project’s needs.
  4. Coordination: You’ll maintain a register to track who is responsible for submitting data from each facility.
  5. Team Collaboration: You’ll work closely with both the M&E Specialist and other team members to ensure all project goals are met.
  6. Reporting: If data isn’t submitted on time, you’ll be in charge of notifying the relevant people and keeping a record of these instances.
  7. Administrative Tasks: You’ll also handle filing and other administrative duties as needed.
