What Will You Do as a Control Room Operator?

Your main responsibilities will include:

Ensuring smooth surveillance operations and accurately reporting on them
Managing all control room activities and keeping the incident register up to date daily
Effectively managing risk and crime prevention processes within your area
Maintaining a strong information network to investigate crime threats
Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at the site
Exercising self-discipline and maintaining control room discipline
Handling key control and security-related tasks responsibly

What Are the Requirements?

To qualify for this role, you should have:

PSIRA Grade B or A registration, up to date
3 to 5 years of active experience working as a Control Room Operator
Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and What’s App
Experience with the Listener system is essential
Excellent observation and reporting abilities
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Good administrative skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
Contactable references and a clear criminal record
Reliable, sober habits, and strong work discipline

Self-discipline and the ability to work independently with initiative
