What Will You Do as a Control Room Operator?
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring smooth surveillance operations and accurately reporting on them
- Managing all control room activities and keeping the incident register up to date daily
- Effectively managing risk and crime prevention processes within your area
- Maintaining a strong information network to investigate crime threats
- Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at the site
- Exercising self-discipline and maintaining control room discipline
- Handling key control and security-related tasks responsibly
What Are the Requirements?
To qualify for this role, you should have:
- PSIRA Grade B or A registration, up to date
- 3 to 5 years of active experience working as a Control Room Operator
- Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and What’s App
- Experience with the Listener system is essential
- Excellent observation and reporting abilities
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Good administrative skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
- Contactable references and a clear criminal record
- Reliable, sober habits, and strong work discipline
