What Will You Do as a Control Room Operator?

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring smooth surveillance operations and accurately reporting on them
• Managing all control room activities and keeping the incident register up to date daily
• Effectively managing risk and crime prevention processes within your area
• Maintaining a strong information network to investigate crime threats
• Following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) at the site
• Exercising self-discipline and maintaining control room discipline
• Handling key control and security-related tasks responsibly

What Are the Requirements?

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• PSIRA Grade B or A registration, up to date
• 3 to 5 years of active experience working as a Control Room Operator
• Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and What’s App
• Experience with the Listener system is essential
• Excellent observation and reporting abilities
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Good administrative skills and the ability to learn new software quickly
• Contactable references and a clear criminal record
• Reliable, sober habits, and strong work discipline
